Hello,I'm new to the world of unreal and unreal editing.
I'm coming from the half-life scene(H-L is dead with it's last patch).
Compared to h-l and quake3 ,the unreal engine is amazing I can't wait to try and make my own maps.
There is just a problem:I can't stop noticing on every unreal scrrenshot that I see, that the brightness is very low.Too low.
In half-life You can make very sunny and bright maps.In Unreal, even when you have bright lights the shadows are way too dark.
Has it something to see with the defaut environment light-level?Is it a problem that can be avoided? Can you give me links to bright maps?
Thanks in advance

Screenshots from UT are way darker than the actual game. As is the editor. If you make a room (in th editor) lit up enough to your liking you'll find its too bright when you play it.

I usually brighten my screenshots w/ a picture editing program. :)
