I had my father analyze this photo and story a couple of weeks ago, and this was his response:

quote:
I think it's set-up...notice the very long shadows...tells you the photo was taken early at sunrise when everything around is closed and you notice the parking lot is virtually empty....the car is parked at an angle so as to facilitate keeping the direct sun out of the camera but still get a full side view. The strings "holding" the lumber would NOT hold anything if the vehicle had moved. Any movement would create the slightest bumping....the roof would've crushed and the windows would've popped.

The angle at which the load sits on the car and the angle of the car tells you that the centre of gravity is WELL back...the load would've slid off at the first movement. As well....OSB is verrrry slippery and it wouldn't have the friction to stay on....the text suggests that the vehicle travelled from a home centre to IHOP (Intl. House of Pancakes). BULLSH*T. The size of the parking lot suggests the lumber yard is nearby...probably behind the photographer....the buildings and vans suggest an industrial area....not where an IHOP would be located. Last....no home centre mgr would allow a vehicle to be loaded like that....liability in event of an accident would preclude that kind of stupidity.

But hey, what do I know. I'm just a grade 10 drop out with 25 years police investigative experience and an analytical mind.[/quote]

Judge for yourself, folks. :p
