I was web surfin today and saw an ad saying "buy your copy of TF2 here".

Since i' can't find the damn thing again, and the the TF2 website hasn't been updated since june...

Is TF2 Out yet ?? or has a date been set ??

There is rumor even that TF2 may not even make it.. They have taken so long to do this thing that tnew technology is coming along and they keep "starting over" The original hoopla surrounding TF2 NOW is pretty common in alot of games. Operation Flashpoint for example is out in 2 months and it has 10 times the features ever mentioned by TF2.. I think they dropped the ball on this. They tried initially to make the HL engine do the things they wanted to do and that failed, they switched engines and now... The rumor is, they are behind again. Looking at Operation Flashpoint.. Id have to say this is likely.. What do I know thougn.. It may rock. If it ever comes out..

Well you can pre order now (release date was 4/28/01 I think), so I think it'll be out... just no guarantee that it'll be any good ;). Wouldn't surprise me at all if Flashpoint makes it look obsolete before it even comes out.

As I recall, didn't half-life suffer about a billion and 1 delays? Given the lack of any media being released at this moment in time I'd suggest they're doing some SERIOUS revamping of the game. As they probably should be, seeing as how they'll have to compete with the likes of Halo *drool*, Black & White *major drool* and Unreal 2 *yet more l33t dr00l*, and the half-life engine can only theoretically be pushed so far.
