If only that would happen...

getting a mod going from nothing is very hard these days. There are just no coders and there are no sites that allow you to post job openings. I would join a mod, but I wouldn't be able to do what I want to do.

By this time in a game's communiy, people of worth have been snatched up by semi professional groups or the actual developer. The mere competent are the next to go, leaving horribly basic newbies.

If anyone knows of someone who has UT coding skills either in the community or in RL and wants to actually make a decent mod, let me know, otherwise I will start looking for a mod job again. :(

Yeah I know its really hard to get coders / modellers and so on.

We had luck that an full team of commercial gaming developers are interested in our mod, about 5 professional guys joined up in the SAS mod.

If you want an advice, ´don´t try to recruit members from the UT community , its exhausted. Try looking in different places, it will take these members some time to get used to the UT code ,but at least then you can recruit some coders.
