Ohhhh, I am soooo impatient for this day to come. The day the new Tool album Lateralus comes out. Ughh anticipation is a bitch. I have been waiting for this album for over 3 years.
One thing I have noticed about Tool is their ability to release an album that is truly better than it's predecessor every time, something that only one other band can do IMHO. I really cannot see anyone releasing an album better than Ænima, even Tool, but we'll see. One thing I am sure of is that it will be ****in amazing no matter what. :)

Oh boy! a new Tool CD. The whole "A Perfect Circle" thing has really wetted my appetite for a new Tool album.
Can't wait till it hits Napster (insert evil laugh here) :)

Ænima is the best album artwork wise too, so I'm sure the next one will be cool in the same sense. I wanna own that ****. You can't dl a cd case and it's artwork so...

Awesome...I'll be waiting for it. I wondered what happened to them - (I'm not a fan of A Perfect Circle) and I'm anticipating great stuff (as they are). Has it already been several years? The nostalgia gets sweeter... *pops in Undertow*
Speaking of Napster, I bought a Dead Can Dance CD out of sheer impulse (they were on a record label I like, 4AD). I've never bothered to try them out using Napster, which I usually do for all new music I'd potentially purchase, so I give it a listen and...it occurred to me that I had wasted 18 bux. Impulse can be such a bitch at times.
EDIT: I failed to mention that I recognize and appreciate that Tool and APC are not converged projects. I knew I'd get reinformed about that one! Happy Maynard-listening.

Could it be my sex appeal? :)
I love APC, not as much as Tool of course, but you can't look at it as Tool with a whole different band, you have to look at it as a whole different bad, period.
Maynard is an absolute ****in genius, this is well known by most people, but APC and Tool are only similar for one reason, their singer. That is it. If you love Tool, you won't necessarily love APC, but there is something about his voice. I feel he is the best vocalist out there, ever. His lyrics are very different for both bands as well as the way he sings, but it is still the same voice and if you love it, you can still be drawn to it, despite the band he is in. Or not as you have demonstrated.
Heh, I have been listening to Opiate a lot as well as Undertow and Ænima. I have all 3 albums plus some of Salival in my playlist right now. Pu**** live is incredible. :)

I just wanna commend Balli on having the right attitude. Not that dl-ing it is wrong in my book but I support my favourite bands by getting their albums, they deserve my money. Rock on dude. :)
If you think an album is kewl, then buy it.
But if the band happens to be Metallica, then I'd just dl it. :D ;)

That's the way you gotta be I_ABuGa. Thanx for the commendation. I already own 3 ATD-I albums that I dl pretty much all of b4 I bought them. I see my purchase as a few things, me doing all I can to "support" them so they can make more music, be one more number to them of how many people likes them so they can make more music, and to actually own the cd which is a tad bit higher quality than even the highest quality mp3 plus the artwork which I personally feel is very important.
I love Napster, I don't know what I would do without it and I can't remember not using it, it's wierd, it's like there was no music b4 napster in some strange way cuz now I listen to so much more than I used to having the power to try b4 I buy in order to not be dissapointed and feel cheated like happened so many times b4 I just said **** buying something new and only sticking to the people I liked.
Maynard said during an interview when APC came out that if you dl the album, send the band $5 or something and then one of the other guys in the band added "or $10" and Maynard repeated him but it seemed more like they were joking than serious about the whole thing. He went into saying that musicians don't have other jobs so they can be musicians and they rely on the royalty checks they get to pay their bills.
Now look at Metallica, they have ****in millions of dollars each and they don't even have the decency to their loyal fans to come up with a similar speech, one that would have saved them more than half of their fanbase. I see more people nowadays that have a loathing hate for Metllica than the opposite and it wouldn't have been that way if the ****in band wasn't so egotistical to realize that our hard-earnmed $15 turns into about a ****in penny for them and we'd only give that up if we felt they deserved it so they can make more music. We, the listeners, finally have the power over our music and ignorant bands like Metallica are just too stubborn to realize that. They are the product of our power. I , for one, am glad such an ******* band is weeded out with this technolgy for I will never ever buy one of their albums in my life and they have themselves to thank for that.
Don't worry, that's about all the ranting and rambling I can do for today. :)

Nah man, that's not what I was doing by saying that. I was just pointing out that some people can like or dislike two bands with the same incredible singer. No harm or reinforming intended homie. :)
