Which one would you choose out of the 2? I persoanlly like airsoft best. Its just the feel of the gun, its almost like being in a real war...but not! I my self have almost every TM gun made, and a SunProject M40a1(wouldnt call it an A1 though because the most recent A1's *real steel* have been replaced with sinthetic stocks because the wood warped too much if u kept it in a damp place) and a maurazin APS-2 SV. I just think paint ball guns are stupid looking, and how they drop after like 50 feet is jus even uglier.

not all paintball guns drop after 50 feet. the flatline and the zbody both have a lot of range. the zbody can actually make them curve up like a golfball. plus i have yet to see the airsoft equivalent to this

i suppose it's mostly personal preference though. i like paintball better.

Considering that the M134 shoots 100 rounds per second, holds 2000 rounds per magazine, and disintigrates a cardboard box on firing, probably not.

Not to mention you can mount 3 of them on a remote controlled tripod=P

Thats what I was talking about, the airsoft guns are to die for[pic above me] but painball is easier to get at and it sounds more fun.

ouch, disintigrates a box. but the hellhound has a 2000 ball hopper, fires 50 balls a second, seats 2, has winch, boxes and so on, and a nade launcher. by scenario rules too in the hellhound you'd have to get hit with a nade or a law to be eliminated. normal hits won't count. dosn't mean you can't be blinded though.

You paintball guys actually go up in UH-1's to fight?
ShakKen: it would actually be interesting to see the effects of an m60 mounted co-axially to the main rotor of a UH-1 if it could actually be done. :D

vehicles are pretty common for scenario games, depending on the field you can even see boats. something else i've seen that was neet was an rc apache model that was rigged to drop nades.

shakken you could do the same thing with a paintball gun
http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/Field/4608/m60-2a2.jpg

i don't think any seems better. we could probably keep playing this oneupman ship forever. just depends on whats more common in year area. i don't know a single person with an airsoft gun. yet there's a proshop and probably 4-5 fields in a 50 mile radius.

oh yeah, and thats just ****in rediculous.

Just the downwash from the blades would screw up your bullet path.

And whats with these guys? Why don't they just join tha army? They must have a lot of extra Cash sitting around to pay for a helicopter to hover, while they shoot out the side.

actually at that event the heli was supplied by the field for the scenario. there was somewehre over 1000. people there. if you figure the typical entrance fee of 50 bucks per person i think they could justifiy it. they might even have known somebody who owned it. Tanks are more pracitical and much more common. my local field is to densly wooded for a heli to do you any good.

Lord Bunker: Eug. Paintball conversions always end up looking wrong. I'd take a 1-1 scale, 1-1 weight exact replica airsoft gun any day.

That's an airsoft M134 manufactured by Asahi Ithink.

Heh, you really don't want to fire that indoors.

I thought only Mauri made the M134. But I'm clueless about airsoft, all I know is that the guns look awesome. Hey ShakKen, do you know how that SPAS-12 airsoft works? I've been trying to figure it out for a while now but no one really explains it well.

Angel of Death: I think this will explain everything...

quote:
Marui Franchi SPAS 12:

http://www.airsoftzone.com/guns/spas12.jpg

Type: Shotgun
Manufacturer: Tokyo Marui
Power: Spring
Action: Single

Length: 651mm
Weight: 1.15kg
Barrel Length: 317mm
Range: 40-50ft
Velocity: 280 fps
RPM: 120 (2/sec)
Capacity: 60 BBs

The MARUI SPAS 12 (Special Purpose Automatic Shotgun) is a very special airsoft gun. It has many excellent features that I shall go through with you. But firstly I just have to comment on the physical side of the SPAS. The total length of the gun is 800mm, you cannot appreciate how huge and intimidating this beast is until you get one. The recorded weight is 2000g (2kg), a 2kg spring gun? Yes it is hard to believe but as I said before the MARUI SPAS 12 is something quite special. The main material of construction is black and grey ABS plastic resin, so the body and receiver are both very tough. The huge outer barrel, gas chamber, trigger, bolt, front and rear sling swivels, safety, shell cover, and lastly the magazine release lever are all made from a tough matt black metal.

To cock the SPAS 12 you pull back the fore end of the cocking handle and then push it forward in one swift movement. Conradictary to many posts on X-ring's discussion board the MARUI SPAS 12 is not particularly hard to cock. If you look down the large outer barrel you can see a set of three smaller normal MARUI 6mm barrels. These are set out in triad a position (not something I can name as having been seen before in an airsoft). One of my very most favourite features in the MARUI SPAS 12 is the 'shot shell' system. Simply put the SPAS 12 has a 30 bb magazine that is in the shape of any real steel shotgun cartridge. It is a great design that allowed such a large sum of bbs into the small body of a shotgun cartridge. The moment I purchased my SPAS 12 I just had to buy some additional 'shot shells', these only cost about 20 UKpounds for three 'shot shells'. 'Shot shells' are placed into the gun by pull down on the magazine release lever until the shell cover flips down. Then you just slip in the cartridge and your ready to go.

Pulling the metal trigger is crisp and easy, resulting in a huge boom from the receiver. If you thought your Gas Blowback (GBB) gun was loud you ain't heard nothing yet! Each shot you take shoots three bbs in a very tight triad at your target. At about 20 meters the spread is only about 1 foot. Maximum range I have used this gun at is about 45 meters! If that was not enough the MARUI SPAS 12 has power about equal to my electric MP5K. Even at 20/25 meters I gave someone three huge welts in a triad pattern on his neck. Yet another great feature with this SPAS is its ability to shoot rapid-fire. By holding down the trigger you can shoot out as fast as you can pump.

Overall I love my MARUI SPAS 12. It gives the power, quality, and reliability that we can only expect from high-end electric rifles, for a very affordable price tag. It can be used in all situations, close combat (with the special rapid-fire feature), or as a snipers weapon (just line up those sights and your not going to miss under 20 meters!). It is truly great. I have to say this is the finest airsoft weapon I have used (after my electrics of course!) and I whole heartedly encourage everyone who is reading this review to bugger off and grab yourself one!

Jaguar.[/quote]

I think the weight and length difference between the specs and the review are because the reviewer was taking into account the optional stock.
