INF irc channel

the maturity level of the irc channel is horrible, the majority of people in there are either
a)make insults on the 10yr-old lvl
b) are generly bitchy

for instance i got a threat of being kicked for spamming because i said that the INF grenade was really good.
his response:
"noone cares so its just spam"
ace then procedes to harrass me when ever i say anything

the irc ops are supposed to enforce a mature conversation not bitch and harrass

I talked on the inf IRC channel a few times and i talked to some cool guys (like Gryphon) and i found some very helpful.

But anyway from my own litle experience i prefer the Forum. I read a lot of interessting post here. But when i like a post i don't reply to it. I reply only if i think i have something clever or helpful to say. When i have nothing to say i close my mouth.
I think according to what you said a lot of people should do the same.

Thunderchunky i am not speaking of that (even though that irc log is serverly edited, like taking out the part about u saying you wanted to kick some1 before i suggested darkliege) I understand you wee just having some fun and that was funny, i love the msg when i kicked you.

I am speaking of after you left Ace threatened to kick me whenever i said anything, he threatened to kick when i said INf's grenades were cool, then he threatened to kick me when i complimented Gryphon on his interview in episode #4 of INF Radio (which i was listening to for the first time). and he harrased me cause i was talking about how Strike force has really cool maps and i wish some1 would make a infiltration map that was like SFTDM-Industrial before you came in.

Darkbls, there are some cool people like Gryphon and Thrasher1234 i spoke to, but alot of the people in there, including some mods (not ThunderChunky, TC is cool) that act like *******s.

I dunno, seems like there is a lot of corruption of moderators of IRC abusing their authority.

But I think most moderators are inherantly just, and have kicked/banned people for legitimate reasons.

IRC ops are restricted to team members and beta testers, and a few 'old school' ops from the last server. Usually when someone is banned it's with good reason, usually kicks are just in good fun since most have auto-rejoin on. However if an op is abusing their power and is indiscriminately kickbanning for no apparent reason, that is unacceptable.

Please e-mail me (http://mailto:gryphon@sentrystudios.com) with any reports of abuses of power and I will deal with the situation. Let this go as a notice to all IRC ops as well: please exercise restraint when using the kick/ban tools.
