What does everyone think about this movie? From the trailer, it looks like it might be fairly decent, as long as it doesn't get the cheesy Hollywood treatment. It's set during World War II, but centers around a famous battle in Stalingrad between two expert snipers; one a Russian and the other a German. I want to read the original book, but the movie looks pretty good. I am currently reading a book called "War of the Rats", it's about the same thing, just by a different author..the descriptions of how the snipers operate are excellent. I highly recommend it. In any event I WILL be going to see this movie..and it IS based on a true story, although I am not sure how many "liberties" will be taken by the filmmaker with regards to the original story. I don't think it will be too cheesy because it was filmed entirely in Europe(I believe Germany) and it isn't a "Hollywood" movie,per se. Anyway, my fingers are crossed.

I actually just read about that famous sniper battle and thought about how cool it would be to make a map based around it... Urban combat, torn buildings, heaps of rubble, snowy terrain... would be really cool..
