My friends and I decided one day to go to Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. My friends of course being them, got the time wrong and we ended up an hour early. We wandered around the lobby for a while, and I noticed something: An arcade right next to the consession. :) So I walked over to an interesting looking shooting game called The House of the Dead. I picked up the gun and deposited a dollars worth of quarters (cheap bastards, I bet you can buy this game for ten) and started blasting every zombie that popped up in front of or beside me. I was having a lot of fun, and didnt really look where I was aiming, I had died several times and was on my last loonie I had with me, and a bloody half of a zombie walked into me and I died! I was quite pissed and asked the cashier for a free round... I kinda got stared at for a moment, so I didn't persue this matter much further... If I find that game for PC I'm gonna steal it. :p

..I remember that game. I used to beat the hell outta it on two credits (one for each gun; House Akimbo rulez you!!!) during my half hour break when I worked for the local arcade. Other games I used to be able to pound the snot outta with one credit include Daytona 2 (I held the best times on all of the tracks; no one could beat me, except for one of the managers), Time Crisis 2, Star Wars Trilogy, Silentscope, Rush 2049, and a host of others.

Ahh, that brings back some memories....

I beat House of the Dead, trick is to have a buddy play with you to watch your back.

Well, I guess this post needn't be done on the board, so I'll put it here. I found House of the Dead at a bargain type store the other day, and I have been playing it a lot! This is a great game and I hope the sequel will be out for PC (currently dreamcrap or something). Also, I noticed some stuff on the arcade version that the PC version didn't have, Rogan, on the arcade vers. had a flowing jacket, on the PC he has a brown suit. And various graphical probs, like seeing polygons disconnected from others. Maybe this is what happens when an arcade game gets ported. (BTW, I didn't steal it, in case you were wondering. :) )
