I really hate it when I go into IRC, see that there is a lot of people there, start talking..... and no one else talks. Because they logged into IRC & now are doing something else. It pisses me off. It you are logged into IRC but are looking at porn, then change your name from "nick" to "nick|porn"or something. Then its ok. I will go into IRC & see that everyone is actually doing something else & I wont get all pissed off. Please put what you are doing next to your name.

Infact , this brings up another thing that annoys me. When I go into IRC I give it my full attention. I dont start doing something else and then say something every 5 minutes. For some reason everybody but me seems to have 3 explorer windows open & 2 IRCs + Napster download & some game aswell. How come I'm the only one who focuses on only 1 thing?

Multitasking pisses me off.

Well I for one have quite limited time on the net, and in those few hours I have a lot of things to do. Thus I'm usually forced to have 2-3 IRCs open, a couple of IEs, ICQ and what not. Sometimes you can't be bothered changing nicks every 5 minutes, and people get pissed off cos it looks like your flooding the channel with nick changes. But I know what you mean, there can be 10 people and no one really there. Well stumps, I'm always there for you.... ;)

I love the smell of Napalm in the morning.

If I'm away then I'll just add '|away' to my name, or set it so that your auto-away in a certain time scale :)

But I know why you mean about idler's and the sort :)

Where is the fun in that?

I mean, take sublime. He hardly ever talks, and you don't know when he is paying attention or away. Then, when he speaks, it catches you totally off gaurd, and you can have a big party!!!! :)

Anyway, a lot of the people on IRC are connected most of the day, and don't have time to pay attention the whole day.

Also you can see who is alive by just saying "hello" and seeing who responds.

Anyway, I should probably get some more sleep before trying to post coherent ideas...

-EDIT- Also, people might be busy in other channels...
