How do you create those cool scoreboard things that say
[Insert name here] is winning with x frags

I tried looking at other levels with them in but they just look like regular brushes

It is not much but its not bad for doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING (Apart from surfing that is...)

Well jolly golly me! I've been here for a while and this is the first question I've seen about it. I'm really interested too. I don't play DM so I haven't seen this in any CTF maps yet. :)

tricky one, this...first, load the
'Scripted' textures. Make your screen
and apply one of the top textures like :
" Texture'Scripted.MessageScroll3' then
make it ' unlit '. Then go to classes>Info>
+ClientScriptedTextures+ScrollingMessageTexture and add one of those ( like a horses head ) near your scoreboard. Open ScrollingMessage
Texture properties and edit +ScriptedTexture
and use the same texture as used on the brush. Then, at the bottom, open +ScrollingMessageTexture and use one of the
Font textures in the Scripted list say :
Font'Scripted.CondemnedFont' then change
PixelsPerSecond to 150 ( or whatever speed
you like ) in ScrollingMessage use the
variables %lp ( names ) then your message
and finish with %lf ( number counter ) frags... you could leave off the variables and just have a scolling message/warning.
Then click on the colour bar and you will bring up the colour selection chart - this
can be accessed anywhere while editing - and
pick a colour, seems like only yellow works.
Then, set Scroll Width to 1200 and YPOS to
1.000000. You will have to play around with the scale of the texture to make it fit. The
tricky part I mentioned at the beginning was
in getting it to work...I had to reset several of these settings just to get anything, seems a bit temperemental. I hope
this helps...
