Speeder up?

Ok for a week now i wan to speed unreal up some one help me my system is a 466 celeron 128ram 32mb ATI Rage Fury unreall is installed on a 7200prm hard disk i have a 15in viewable screen running at 640X480 i have the diretx7.0 and latest driver for my video card Please help

Have you done the permanent swapfile thing and/or upped the Unreal cache size?

Unreal is mainly a glide game so you ar'nt gonna get great fps with your video card, but just wait a couple of weeks or so for the new direct 3d patch and that will give you a big increases in speed. If you hav'nt already you can go to advanced options\rendering\d3d and select false for the following:- volumetric light,coronas,high detail actors,shiny surfaces,detail textures,multitextures, you should see an increase in fps, but of cause it wont look as good. good luck.

The ATI Rage Fury is a good card, but if you can afford it I would say go invest into a V3 3000 it comes in either AGP or PCI use it for your glide based games and use your ATI for your 3D games because you want the best in both /~unreal/ubb/html/smile.gif
