On the Flecktarn-camouflage pic, it seems to me as if the German flag is upside down, is it supposed to be this way? I know the US has their flag mirrored on their shoulder patches, but why put it upside down? Anyone?

There are much more errors in that picture.
The german flag is on the soldier's ARM not on his shoulder...
The waist belt and straps [koppeltragehilfe] (sorry do not know the technical term) have never been used by the german military.

Here are some pics.

The german army has a "tropic-camo", too.

You have to remember that the INF model is made the represent a solidier with a load bearing harness, but in order to keep the poly's down they cant include it all. Expecting them to taylor the model to every force is absolutely ridiculous. And clearly the German military uses belts and straps be it load bearing or tactical usage.

Geared down with tactical body armor. you can clearly see the load bearing gear.

Kommando Spezialkräfte clearly you can see the load bearing straps

Whats that? Yes its a belt!

Your pics look like they came from the 70's. I dont know of any 1st world military that doesnt use some sort of load bearing gear with straps or belts. So saying they never use them is taking it a bit far.

You can find all these pics on HK pro. I want to be clear that Im not passing myself off as some expert.

few things to improve:

-the straps from the koppeltragesystem :D are right but we use another waist belt.
-i miss the symbol on his shoulder which indicates his rank.
-there is only one place for your name, it's on the left
-the bags attached to our koppeltragesystem :)are camo-ed too
-a german soldier in combat is always equipped with a "splitterschutzweste" (kind of kevlar vest) or a bristol vest
-and he has to wear his kevlar helmet
-there are bags attached to his trousers, left and right
-there is also a small bag on one of the arms

excuse my english...

I think there was a misunderstanding.
I wanted to say that the model of the loadbearing straps does not look like the ones (two different ones) I know. I did not want to say that they are not used.

I postet those pics, so you can see where the flag ist and that there is a circle with 3 rings (in black, red, yellow/gold) on the hat.

I also think that the tropic-camo looks cool, so I posted this pic, too :)

I think fichtenelch summed up everything much better than I did.

Hmm, my impression is that the (upside-down) flag on the model shot is pretty much in the same place as on the photos. The 3D-models shoulders are just too dark to see.
Anyway I'd be happy without flags on the uniforms too.

btw. is it already march 11th or before? Damn yes, it is before march 11th. So where is already Inf 2.85? :p

First off, the load bearing gear is accurate, but the belt and clasp are definitely wrong. I used the same one from the US Alice straps just because I'm trying to get all this stuff done ASAP so we can release. Theres no vest on him because we have not implemented a vest option yet. The particular model in the pic has no helmet on, but there is a model that you'll be able to use that wears a helmet. The belt will be fixed when I get a chance.

The ammo pouches and backpack will be green for now (although they are black in the pic), and there will be no other bags/pouches because they are not currently a part of our model. In later releases we will offer more accessories that may make each nationality's gear more accurate (backpacks, buttpacks, ammo pouches, etc).

Thanks for all the input fellas.

I'm happy to help you !

But after looking at every cammo the site provide i'm wondering something;.
Why military use such pattern ?

WHy don't using pattern like realtree
Pattern #1
Pattern #2

Will we have all cammo around the world in INF ? ;)

About cammo, it would be cool if when you choose your map you have some clues about the dominant color of the map to choose the right cammo suit
