I seriously doubt any mature enough member of the Inf community would be offended to see games "copying" inf aiming technique, I'm talking games like TacOps would only suck 80% of the time, and SF would be alot more valuable for the money you would pay for its commercial release. I would like to see an already extra-realistic game like Rogue Spear (flame all you want, it seemed real... minus the moving reticle) and the Delta Force series (good ballistics and sniping aspects) have this. Hey, maybe if doom 3 had Inf aiming instead of crosshairs which it most likely will (have crosshairs), it would be worth the wait. (Lets hope doom 3 doesn't go Daikatana in a year.)
