please help i have downloaded the umod file for inf 280(40 megs)and when i tried to install had an error come up saying bad CRC a12dff93 (should be cfe20031) in winzip it said that this could be down to a corrupt file that was downloaded so i downloaded the manual zip file another 40 megs.
i got the same fault message so i uninstalled winzip 8 and reinstalled thinking this might be the prob,but no still same prob.:(
I then downloaded the umod files 1-5 when i unzipped same prob please does anyone have any ideas as i would like to play inf. as i have read only good things about it.
It has got rather annoying having to download 120meg of files and still get nowhere.

Im afraid that i can only tell u to download again!

When i downloaded INF the first time, it stoped short (and at 87% too *snift*) and told me that it was down to a curupt file.

The problem could be that the server is too buisy, so u can allways try downloading at another time of day.

Also, if u (like me) have a crappy Inet conection, switch off youre lowenrgy mode in youre controllpanel (asuming u use windows), now youre hard drive wont fall asleep.

i'll give it another go and try what you suggested but i did dl the files at 2 in morning.
i'll try once more then i'm beating my computer to death with a scaffold pole. /infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
