HELP please! Weird install problem with 2.80

When I doubleclick the 2.80 umod, UT starts up as it's supposed to, but it stops after a couple of seconds displaying the message "Ran out of virtual memory. Make room on primary disk".

I get this message on Win 98, Win ME and Win 2000 Pro, all with more than enough free space on the drive UT is on and the drive the system is on.... anyone had this problem, or knows how to solve it?

I am new to Infiltration (being an SF player), so please respond even if this problem was already in previous versions or something like that /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

goto controlpanel/system/performance n hit the virtual memory button.

make sure that the disable virtual memory box is unchecked.

best thing to do is manage your own virtual memory
do this by checking the option then putting the amount of v-mem you want to set aside in each box.

use the same number both times.

i use 512megs... maybe this is a bit much???
i dunno, but it keeps my hard drive cleaner anyway.
