Ever see the sun in an Unreal Level? That's a lens flare. In a skybox (see a tutorial on how to make one of those), make a sheet that's 128X128 and give it a lens flare texture; make sure it is masked, translucent, and two sided, then angle it at a 45 degree angle in your skybox. Presto, you've got a sun. You can also make lights have coronas with lens flares. Just right click on the light, then go to its properties, and where it says use skin (or something like that), click on a lens flare texture, then hit use. THen go to the light properties again and under effects turn corona to true, mess around with the volume, radius, etc of the corona and you've got a cool light corona now! Fool around with them; they make a level look really good.
