whenever i try to load a 3rd party map in either UT or infiltration i get an out of memory error message and it quits. this is weird because maps that worked before i installed 4.36 and inf dont work now, i downloaded them again because i reinstalled UT but they should still work. This doesnt happen with all maps, DM-sleepy town works fine. i think it may be something to do with textures but im not sure, i thing maybe maps with new textures cause this error. Any maps installed with a mod work fine too, except the updated shooting range, the old one worked fine. another weird thing about this is that i downloaded reactor six and i got the error message, but when i downloaded tacops (plese dont flame me) and then changed the name of reactor six that is included with that so it would work with inf it worked fine. I have sent an email to macsoft or whatever the mac developers are called but they just said 3rd party maps are not their problem, can anyone help me with this?

I didn't notice you mentioning anything about it in your post, but did you check the amount of memory that is being allocated to UT? When the upgrade is applied, it installed a new copy of the application and the memory allocation may have been changed. I'll tell you here that running Infiltration 2.82 on UT 436 requires more than 200 megs of memory to load some of the more detailed maps that I have. Its not a problem for me since I have 288 megs of installed memory, but you may consider upping VM to handle complex maps. If you're really finicky about memory, disable as many extensions and features that you can so as to free up as much memory and CPU time as possible.

the meory allocation is fine, what bothers me is that it quits when i choose the map, not when i try to load the map to play it, and also that maps that previously worked dont work now
