View Full Version : Hosting an (ICS) Server ???????

i have (ICS) internet conection sharing on my pc under WIN-98-SE using a cable modem i want to share my lan game with internet users or run an internet game that my lan users can get to any ideas? :eek: :confused:

if I'm not mistaken you'll want the machin with the 'net connection to be the host, not one of the "shared" machines, the shared machine(s) won't have an active IP on the 'net like your main machine will. I havn't used the connection sharing since I bought my DSL Router, but if it's anything like that, you might be able to forward the packets to a certain IP address, at least that's what I can do with the router, set certain port requests to a certain IP on the internal network. Not to familiar with ICS like I said, but that may head you in the right direction.
