This problem isn't just happening with Inf, but with UT and UT mods in general.

As posted on the Planet Unreal Troubleshooting Forum:

--------------------------
For whatever reason, we now get huge amounts of lag while playing on our LAN (2 computers, usually 14 bots). It gets so bad that the game just stops for about 15 seconds, bots and all. The client computer lags worse, but it's pretty horrible on the server also.

The only way I can even connect to a LAN server now is to enter its IP address. It doesn't show up in the server window.

I tried changing our IP addresses from 192.168.0.x to 10.10.10.x, but that didn't work. We are on the same subnet, 255.255.255.0

My LAN NIC is a 3COM OfficeConnect, and the other computer has a RealTek PCI something-or-other. They are both full-duplex 100mbps NICS. UT is the only game that's lagging, everything else is perfect.

I also have a Linksys NIC which goes to my cable modem, and has its own TCP/IP settings. Is it possible that UT is trying to use my Cable Modem NIC to find LAN servers, and (obviously) failing?

I haven't made any changes to the hardware or configuration that could have caused this problem, it just started happening out of nowhere.

I may end up reinstalling UT, but that might be a pain in the ass, since I have virtually every major MOD installed. I'd rather not resort to this.
