View Full Version : How about player/bot weight limits?

It has nothing to do with sound but it sets with reality. Weight!
Being able to configure player/bots individually, speed, weight limits, starting load out.
Secret weapons to find, a rail gun for instance. (After discovering german plans for a magnetically launched projectile weapon the US researched this for a while only to give up due to large power source required.) Maybe not no more, via lithium cell/rare earth magnets. The speed of the projectile would still be held to physical laws but would easaly exceed the sound barrior.(Look up "cycletron", particle excelerators)

Heh, Rail Guns. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Why? That's my question. I mean while your at it we can add some time machines, ala, Robert Heinlen's "The Number Of The Beast."

Then, why not research wormholes and disruptions in the spacetime continuum for all they are worth in a SpecOps styled game.

The loadout/weight/bulk/cost setup will interact seamlessly with bots and players. Basically you setup loadouts. Then you can load up a custom bot window (kind of like UT's but with more optinos) which will have a dropdown list of loadout choices. It'll just be another setting you can configure for the bots.

um, mixing U4E stuff with INF wouldn't be that good on an idea. like mixing spam with, well, anything.

now, calling in an air strike (a la DM DeathZone) would be kick ass.

I need clarification here:

Weight will affect player speed though, correct? Such as if I have a Desert Eagle and another players has a SAW, I will be able to move faster and be more maneuvarable than him correct? I couldnt find a clear answer in the roamap. Thanks for the help in advance.

We can all judge people to fast and considering the scale of our medium, great care should be given not to.

It's right that the rating is rather low, maybe Warren will change it some day with spare time.

1. Please read the roadmap and my post again, the issue was barely covered in the road map (2 seperate sentences in the movement section that were not specific enough for me) and I needed clarification, with the topic post and the lack of clarity in the roadmap about this, I wanted to be sure that I would not get stuck having the same maneverability as someone with a M249, if I just had a USP. While I was almost sure of the answer, I thought it better to be clear.

2. I have made other such posts, around issues such as bullet proof vests and weapons. I will continue to do so, so that I have a clear understanding of what is happening with my favorite mod, rather than assuming that something will happen when there is no clear evidence to the fact (what happens when you assume? We all know that answer).

3. Please refer to my registration date, I have been on this forum longer than most people. I would not post about a topic that I knew was clearly covered in the roadmap. Just becuse I dont have Billdog or Neo post levels (btw I remember when they had less the 100) doesnt mean that I do not have an understanding of what is tranpsiring here, I again only wanted clarification, and I think that your judegment of me as 'sad' is very, very off base.

Thank You.

speed for the most part will be uniform. but depending on how much you carry, your stamina will decrease faster/slower. if your stamina goes too low, you'll only be able to walk. And your accuraccy will generally be further off your point of aim than usual.

Remember the post count reflects the posts on all Mod Central forums, not just the Infiltration ones, so a person could have 600 posts without ever stepping foot into our forums.

A note to Toysrme, cool it with yelling at ppl for not looking at the roadmap. A lot of their questions are not even answered on the roadmap but rather have been answered in previous topics which the person obviously hasn't noticed (since they are new). Cut them some slack and make them more welcome around here. Thanks.
