Here are some suggestions for 2.7x
- Get rid of explosive stuff (ammo, etc)! Its lags the game and is actually quite stupid
- Dont put drop ammo, you know what happens when you kill a group of people? It really kills the game, make a backpack or something to represent the ammo.
- Make better skins, they look like they were use in Microsoft Paint
- Make it so powerups isn't on, never! Reason is your goal is too be realistic, and having a shield and 199 health isn't realitic.

You can turn explosive stuff off. I do like it.
You can turn drop ammo off.
There will be new skins and models in V3
Powerups....can you turn them off?

I think Neo is right!
All the things you mentioned can be turned off. Also the powerups (no powerup mutator)
If you had read a bit more on the inf page you knew that there will be new skins in 3.0
So, why do you complain?

I agree that ammo explosions could be handled better and dropped items likewise. The powerups will likely be included on the list of things you can remove, we just didn't have time or discuss or do it last time.
And one last thing, it's free.

Well what I meant is that they are "FORCED" to be turned off, because the mod is supposed to be realistic, THEN MAKE IT
And I didn't say what kind of skins I was talking about (stupid me). I was talking about the weapon skins for Infiltration, they really dont look good, I used in high detail to see how they looked like, and no change from low, only orginal UT stuff (players etc.)

To see some of the new weapons skins go the the Infiltration armory http://www.planetunreal.com/infiltration/armory
I think its better to give people a choice about what they want, more options are always better than less. And we should all remember that its free.

Version 3 will include all these weapons.
I don't know if I can tell you whether or what will be in the next release. I have to pay attention on what I write.

To the 'forced' stuff:
UT is 'unrealistic' not Infiltration... 10-20 Weapons with a lot of ammo is the current 'normal' way of playing UT. So do you think that is real ?! /infopop/emoticons\icon_wink.gif I think not... one of the next versions of Infiltration will include an inventory that only allows to take some weapons and some ammo with you not that amount thats currently used! So the drop ammo and destructable ammo thing will be 'realistic' again.
Like the others said before... turn it off if you want to... or simply remove ALL weapons from the map itself and add only some of our weapons to the startup inventory with a bit ammo nothing else.... use the 'no powerup' mutator (brought to you by Epic itself) to get rid of the powerups, and play some games.....
Thats one of the best 'game modes' you can have! Realistic, and ROCKING too ! No weapons and such stuff lying around.. maybe you can leave some of them inside the map too (the ones not in your starting inventory) and you are forced to pickup the ammo and weapons your victims dropped....
This is realistic and in addition....
A LOT OF FUN !!!
Try these settings and you will see for yourself! 8)

Hey I was just wondering, with all these options that are left up to the server, Is there going to be any consistency when playing online. For instance if you are used to playing with ammo not exploding and you go onto a server with it will you know before hand or will you go in blasting only to have some ammo blow up in your face. I guess this is not that big of a deal, but I am wondering if there is going to be some sort of default config for regular servers?

We're working with Epic on developing a custom server browser that will display some of those pieces of information.

You're touching something their SixUnderground.
We're in the process that leads us to 3.0, and that includes what IS possible. When it's time we will either make recommendations and a special detailed advanced options sections, or limit the options. So in the end one way or another we will have consistency.
