Ok, this might be pretty difficult to code, but I figure I should say this anyway /infopop/emoticons\icon_wink.gif
How about, alt-fire when pressed makes the guy pull the pin out, but he doesn't release the lever untill you let go of alt-fire. Then you use primary-fire separately to throw it (i.e. the longer you hold down the button, the farther the guy throws it)

BTW - Sorry if someone already mentioned this idea.

The animations are (at least I hope so)to be fasten up so that won't be necessary

I don't think it would be to hard, and it might do well for an alternative setup. It will make it possible to throw dud grenades. I'm not sure it it will feel more real or just being a pest. We may even have to test it.
