AT4 vs. Others

Any particular reason for picking the AT4?

I mean, it works, but to me, it doesn't fit in with the rest of the weapons: You're running around with a bunch of sleek, nice-looking weapons, and then you stumble on this huge ugly worn out bazooka thing.

If you ask me, the LAW would be a much cooler "rocket weapon" for INF.

It would be nice if you could animate the LAW, showing the guy extending the barrel thing and then putting it over the shoulder.

The reason for this post is that I just caught the end of beverly hills cop 2, and this guy preps the law by rading the instructions, and accidentally fires it into a truck filled with explosives. That was cool.

Was that even a LAW, I really don't know

The AT4 is a pretty sweet weapon IMO, I've seen it firsthand. How it fits into Inf is another question though. We might have a poll to ask to keep or ditch the AT4, but I think Warren wants to keep it, so I'm not sure what we'll decide on.

I don't think it fits, all the other weapons are relatively small, then there's the bulky AT4... I think it's just too big

well thats kind of the point, it being big, also. In terms of relative weight vs. destructive power, in version 3.0 the ratio of the two will be on par with other weapons.

in other words, it's big so it will come with a higher weight cost in 3.0. If it were something small, we could carry more and throw off the balance of the game by having walking missle launchers.

Because grenade launchers take away the fun in the game. We try not to make something like rocket arena out of INF. The fact that the AT4 is so bulky is POSITIVE

An RPG7 would be nice. My dad had a close brush with death by one of those things is Vietnam. He was leaning over in the turret of his open turreted tank to get ammo, and an rpg blew right between his arm and body, blowing him out of the tank as it flew past. He got shrapnel in his neck from it penetrating the thin armor.

fastson, read the f*cking roadmap. Then realize that NO MORE WEAPONS WILL MAKE v3.0 so quit asking for the AK-5.

Also come to the realization that the AK-5 is simply a Swedish-built FN-FNC, and is only in use by two countries that I am aware of (Belgium and Sweden). The M-16 is in use with over 20 countries with well over 10,000,000 being produced worldwide. I can name 5 countries off the top of my head that are current M-16 users. Can't say the same for the FNC.

While the AT4 might not "fit" with the rest of the current INF weapons, I like it. I especially love the fact that you can kill yourself or anyone behind you with the killer backflash! I laughed my ass off when my little brother killed himself because he had his back to a wall. Anyway, I think it's cool also that you have to hoist it up onto your shoulder to shoot and have to look through that little window rather than using a scope or anything.
Overall: it's huge, clunky, and devastating. I just wish the warhead had a better explosion... it shows a little splash but the kill radius is like 2x as big as the graphic for it... (don't yell at me, I haven't read the roadmap for a while and then I just skimmed it, so if there is better effects planned, just slap me around a bit) /infopop/emoticons\icon_wink.gif

If the AT4 weren't also HE it would be useless. It don't fit in with the other equipment. Plastic or a weapon platform would be used if available.
