View Full Version : some shooting through walls concerns

hey, to start with, i love the ballistics engine! nothing is quite like blasting some camper through a wall. almost like popping some "master sniper's" head off with the robar /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif. one thing i have about that is accuracy after penetration. it would seem to me that if a bullet actually does manage to penetrate a wall, it's power would be practically gone, and the accuracy would be nil. i mean, the old m16s in vietnam were deflected by blades of grass, but that was also due to the rifling ratio. however, the .223 (otherwise known as the 5.56mm NATO) is still easily deflected, and even if it was passing through drywall, it would probably end up exiting the wall at a 45 degree angle (at least!) from the direction it entered in. the 7.62 would maintain some degree of accuracy depending on the surface (through a brick wall though? i doubt it!) and the .50 BMG would probably just end up plowing through anything /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif. anyways, these are definately suggestions, seeing as the ballistics engine isnt even near done. thanks.

If you run you'll just die tired.
