View Full Version : First-Person Weapons skinning

I've noticed that in some of the screenshots of the weapon models (ref: here (http://www.planetunreal.com/images/beta_shots/M92f_first_beta1.jpg), here (http://www.planetunreal.com/images/beta_shots/M92f_first_beta2.jpg), here (http://www.planetunreal.com/images/MP5_first_beta5.jpg), and here (http://www.planetunreal.com/images/MP5_first_beta6.jpg)) that both of these weapons first person arms have different skins...

will it be possible for skinners to release (along with the skin, of course) a skin for the arms (not the weapon, obviously)... would it even be possible, or would the arms have to be made a seperate entity from the weapon? I just think that that would be pretty cool, to see your arms actually match the uniform you're wearing, though you mave have to get creative with how you do it.

I saw that too, and hoped the same thing. I'm thinking that it might work, since it seems like Unreal does the same type of thing with the player models, where you can mix and match the faces with the player skins...

It's a good idea, and we'll try to make it possible for you guys- they're two seperate things though. We'll keep it on the forefront of our ideas to implement.
