Grappling, but that's OK. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Not a bad idea, but I believe this was discussed before, and it was decided rope would be way to hard to implement in a realistic manner.

Yep,
although many would like a grappling hook, it would be too hard to programm, AFAIK.

If you need to get to a location use the translocator, hahaha /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

btw, (this may be completly fo topic, but I figure it sound like this whole hook thing)

Maybe I should found a "ut for dummys" book somewhere to anwers that, but what does the command (bounded to 'g' by defautl on UT mac) "grab" stand for??? It sound pretty obvious, but what ever it does, I have never seen it's effects...

what is it? what is it? tell me pleeeeese

could it be like translocator. It would throw a rope. Rope would pull up the thrower and it would disappear. Would that be so hard?

A grappling hook isn't exactly hard in itself, but picture the rope part. Picture how a rope reacts in our physical world. Duplicating this and keeping the game at a descent speed is why we're not doing it. Also, the time needed to create this utility would detract an awful lot from much more important Infiltration work.
