View Full Version : Body armor

I looked at the roadmap and saw that body armor was one of the items. If this topic has been brought up, i'm sorry. What about different types of armor? For example, you could get a Class 3 bodysuit that covers everything but your head but you would move slower and not be able to carry heavy weapons. There could be stronger types of armor besides that like Class 5 but THAT is really heavy and slows u down.

I dont think Specops would have anything higher than Class2

Actually I think 3A vests are pretty common among them (stronger than 2, weaker than 3)... it still won't do much against rifle FMJ's/AP's, but it should have you pretty well covered against most pistol rounds, and it's not as heavy or bulky as 3.

having multiple armor seems logical.... even more in assault mission where everyone has a specific task "a la team fortress"... well for it seems logical to play it that way and it's how I do it with friends (not those stupid bots though)

So what I say is that diffrent task demand diffrent armor and arsenals... so it would seem logical to have multiple armor types.

One that would be cool is those bomb squad ones /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif It would be slow and heavy but hey! fun anyway...

There will be 3 armor options. The first being a helmet(PASGT), the second being a level 3 vest and as a supplement, you can buy level 4 spectra plates to keep your innards from being spilled by high velocity rounds.

You guy's who plan to use shotguns better stock up on slugs.

I suggest instead of just having level 4 plates we also include something like Second Chance's T-15 titanium plate. I've got a 7x10 that I wear all the time and I don't even know it's there. Light as a feather and will stop a 12 gauge slug. Great stuff.
