View Full Version : An Intro

I'm gessing 1 or maybe even 2 of you people in here has played Team Fortress for Quake. And by that I assume you have seen the intro they have for that mod. It's quite "cool" if you ask me. How about one for Infiltration /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Say a couple of "soldiers" running around showing of the weapons and such, like the different gamemodes. It could be quite good and fun to watch, not to say "moodrising" (anyone understood that??). Hope you get the picture.

Yeah! i don't think it would be to hard for and experianced map maker to make a nice remplacement intro for the entry... it would be cool!
it could be installed optionnaly (just as the desktop image for the GUI)...

On a related subject, does anyone here know how to turn off the the initial cutscene for UT, the damn thing takes forever to load, and then I never waitch it and so I have to spend another half forever waiting for the UT interface screen to come up.
Please e-mail me if you have the answer!

Deathbent, open your UnrealTournament.ini file. Search for the following line:
and change it to:

Thanks Gryphon, but is there anyway to make it go straight to the UT Menus?

Yeah, that was useful.
The only thing is, in the UT and Unreal intros, and that happens is guys walk around.
Would actual combat situations be possible?

I take it that no one is interested in an Intro?? To bad, it would have been quite cool :-S

I agree that it could have been cool to see. But after the first or second time I watched it, I would probably just shut it off anyway.

I just downloaded Unreal Movie Studio and I'm proud to say that I MAY MAKE AN INTRO if I can make some sense out of the instructions....
attatch B to C, then to A, then attatch whole object to X. Hmmmmm.....

An intro would be a great idea, you could have a camara flying over a gun fight between two squads in a battle. This would make Infiltration look very professional indeed, (not that it doesnt I stress /infopop/emoticons\icon_wink.gif)

could have it fly up though a big armory sorta thing showing off all then guns then come to a close up of some military guy loading FiveseveN (coz thats the coolest gun)
P.S i'd be happy with a desert eagle

A small plot for a version 3.0 intro(wouldn't need that much work I guess...and would definately be cool as hell):
A small squad of UN peacekeepers is walking in some wartorn city (maybe in Africa) and they get ambushed by a squad of terrorists. They're wiped out and the terrorists cheer before escaping.
13 Hours later:
A small group of soldiers is waiting near a terrorist camp. There's a timer on the screen (about 30 seconds)..during which the camera goes around the squad (showing all kinds of cool weapons) and then around the terrorist camp (showing their terrorist weapons like the Krinkovs and Uzis)..when the timer runs to zero, the squad leader yells "go! go! go! go!" and the soldier squad attacks the terrorists (maybe a sniper kill or two and some cool AR fights..the demo might end with a scene where the soldier leader kills the terrorist leader, who is using akimbo Desert Eagles...kinda like a "don't use akimbo DEs" suggestion).
