Handgun atachments

I read that you cant put atachments on sidearms in one of the posts below

well in future versions can you? cmon who wouldnt soup up a MK23 to its fullest Socom potential? please give it some thought when you have enough main weapons in the game...

yea but

can you take them off if you want? or put in a laser sight instead of flashlight etc? it would be alot cooler to have the same freedom as with the larger weapons

let me just make it clear that you cannot remove attachments in game, for many reasons- aside from the animation support required, some attachments would require proper adjustment to add, which you wouldn't have time to do in the field.. You must choose which attachments you want in your loadout.
