Locking out Anoyying weapons....

Dont you hate those ****ing idiots who come up behind you with a Ak-Su with a drum and blast you to ****s. or those annoying hk69 grenades and those bloody m16grenades. well ive got an idea.

Cant you make a feature were the host can lock out certain weapons, like in Rogue Spear, then you could have pistol matches and so on.

No, then their would be like 1 server with the normal settings. Learn how to use tactics, this isnn't Death match, this is a stratagie game, not walk, walk, jump, jump, jump, jump, shoot, circle straf, shoot. This is walk, infiltrate the enemys base for important info, report it, come back to home base, ask for permission to lead a branched team, choose needed men to counter attack the enemy, plan carefuly an ambush site, wait, give order to fire at will, gather enemy artillery, bring it back to base, analize the percentagize of soldiers killed, and how many ppl have the one type of gun, join "frontend" group to seek out the enemy, and destroy them. Win the match.

Colte what game are you talkjing off? as it stands Inf IS just team deathmatch, there are no goals to the maps.

Anyway i would like to see a server side option to switch of explosive weaponry, because from plaing games like the R6 series and Urban Terror i know that they can ruin the fun 90pct of the time.

I think thats a bad idea. In real life we don't just ban explosives because we don't like them in war. Explosives are far from superior weapons, if a team takes appropriate action against their users it would be easy to pick them off.

And btw fur, I don't think you can blame the explosives for why urban terror isn't any fun. That game is just a paradise for cheap players. All the Dm games just reduce to people hiding behind respawn points and shooting people in the back when they respawn.

Rogue spear is a realistic game and in that realistic game you can lock out weapons. plus if tin future updates of infiltration there MAYBE double pistols, so who wouldnt want a little realistic john woo action. plus... WhAT THE HELL IS A CS NOOB or whatever. i kinda hate cs now cause i cant play online cause some asshole stole my Half-life cd and that asshole is gonna DIEE!
CS is in my books, **** but the bots are kewl, which brings me to another thing i will post about... bot tactings and WAYPOINTS.

What respawn? there is no resspawn in urban terror, and how do you expliain R6 then? (Yes i know a lot of idiots play it but still). And may i remind you that INF ALSO is just a DM game at this moment in time.

I agree with Greenyboy though.... you should be able to lock out certain weapons.... maybe only for botmatch, but it would be useful....

It sux in botmatch... You don't see many Armies using a shotgun, now do ya? Nooo... they use decent weapons like the M4 Carbine or the SA80...

America uses Shotguns

Shot Guns are pretty useful. The U.S. Army used them to great effect in the Vietnam war,To flush out snipers with flechetts (must have hurt! ;) ).
The army still uses shotguns for sentry duty 'n stuff.

I think weapon locks are a good idea...

say what you will about soldiers not being able to choose what they are up against, but whenever I get a HK69 or M203 kill by shooting against a wall or something I feel a little cheap. They're one shot one kill weapons, and they're imprecise at that- you can hit 10 feet away and still kill the target. In the interest of gameplay, maybe something needs to be done...

I suggest to make it more team-oriented to limit one GRL per team somehow. Or one M203 and one HK69. Thats realistic. They're not primary weapons, nobody's loudout would be messed up.

Once we get more pistols in the game, the prospect of all pistol battles sounds GR8 :)

They must have gotten rid of respawning in urban terror since i last played it

explosives are an integral part of the stratagy, we can't just ban them because they are annoying and some among us arn't skilled enough to avoid them
