View Full Version : Robes, we need a modified DM-Big Clapper.

Now that we can shoot through walls, I thought DM Big Clapper would be the perfect map for it, but lo and behold, the walls are too thick everywhere, only the PSG and Robar can shoot through walls!

Robes man, we need a thin walled DM-Clapper to be able to have some of the best 2.71 fun in existence.

What do ya say?

Oh yeah, and all you non-robes folks, make sure to leave a message to show your support (I will be getting support on this right?)

Robes- If youre gonna fix the walls, which is a great idea, I would make it so that 9mm cant go through them.

And since youll be doing that may I suggest that you change the amount of headroom we have in the map, 20 or so more units, so the scale is correct.

I'd love to update BigClapper but because I'm such a such a stupid mapper I do everything the wrong way and because of this I've made it nearly impossible to re-make. If you have a look in UnrealEd you'll see that the house is one brush so I can't re-sioze the walls, it would have to be completly re-done /infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

I know there are some problems with it - I mean lets face it, its not the prettiest map out there (mainly due to the crappy skybox) and there are some errors. I would love to try and fix these things but I don't think its feasable.

I do have another map on its way but what started out as an Inf map has turned into your run of the mill normal UT map. Its for both DOM and DM. These shots are a little old but they should give you an idea of what it will look like and whether you think you'd like to play Infiltration in it.

Oh, and its not as dark as the screenies make it look /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

No, it looks good, not as good as the big clapper though but still interesting.

heh! I know what you mean Robes, I just got asked for the same request, but I don't think I can because most of my walls are parts of big ole brushes.

very nice... too bad it looks like every other map for UT... If I was you I would of stuck with the RL maps. Clapper was fun as hell.. plain as hell... but fun as hell... at least going that route your a little more original.

Don't take offense to this but take it to heart. Go down the road less traveled. Every kid on the block does those types of maps. There are hardly any RL maps out there... and out of the ones that aspire to be, only about 5 are any good.

On a side not if you guys want a level similar to BigClapper with walls you can shoot through I could wip one up. Any requests [for the storm the house]
