The Onecall.Net Infiltration Server is now up. The IP is 216.37.2.135. I work for Onecall Communications, which is located in Indiana, so there is now a Midwest server to ping!

I used to host 2 of the Top 10 ActionQuake2 servers, but I have decided to change to the Unreal Tournament-INF mod instead. The server is currently set up for 8 players max, due to my client-side comp, which is processor deficient :P Once I complete my upgrade, I will raise the player max to 16. The server is on an OC3c, so bandwidth should not be a problem. when 2.80 is released, I will set up an 8 player Assault server.

Unknown1s was an Action Quake 2 Clan for 2 years before I ever joined 'em. You should drop by our clan site and check the roster. www.unknown1s.com (http://www.unknown1s.com) maybe you'll see some people you remember? I personally was not much of an AQ2 person, only because my friend (Zot) was kind enough to show me the mod and mop the floor with me to the point it turned me off AQ2 permanently. Here's a hint for people showing a new game to their friends.. Go easy on em, or they'll think the game just sucks! :P

Also, If {PhD} is a INF clan, drop www.unknown1s.com/ilcr (http://www.unknown1s.com/ilcr) to register with us. We're pretty much waiting for 2.8 like everyone else right now (League Side), but you can regsiter so that the world will know how to reach you guys for match / recruitment issues. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

BTW, I'll probably drop by your server tonight(between 9-mid?) with some of my UN1 pals. I say we give the server a run thru the paces. /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Damage_Inc, I filled out and emailed your registration page today. I only have a handful of active members, I'm still waiting for a few to get back to college. I'll tell my guys to keep an eye out for your clan tag tonight /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Need to change the destination of the apps page.. Right now it goes to League Admin Virtigo, and he then forwards it to me to edit the site. Waste of time really, as it adds a day to the process /infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif All this stuff is supposed to be temporary while Virt works out the bugs in the database, but he's taking his sweet time on that one.

I was on your box last night and saw ya briefly. Here's what was happening.

1) others player models weren't moving. No feet, no arms, nothing. They were gliding around on the map, but they were suffering from severe rigormortis /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

2) Local models were screwy. Sniper rifle made my screen blink and shot gun would pull back against my chest to reload or change to auto and never go back to aiming. Actually fired normally tho, just looked weird.

3) once the map changed to one I didnt have on my machine, the server would not download the files to me. So I simply couldn't sign back on.

4) I was in SOB East both before and After visiting your server, so I suspect their is something missing from the server that is needed. I am running UT 4.20 FYI, so maybe there is something along those lines. Maybe Shan, Formerly SG Servers /infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif has some advice on the subject?

5) once the map changed, I was unable to reconnect so I couldn't get any of my guys to double check my experiences. Might want to check it out tho, really sweet ping to it BTW.

So far the Onecall server has been smooth as silk for me. Of course I haven't updated to the latest patch so I'm not sure about that one. Give it a try. Teutonics AQ2 servers were always teeming with people and the pings were always solid. Hopefully thats hwo this one will turn out.

One more thing. I downloaded a ton of maps directly from the server so again I'm not seeing this problem at onecall.

Happy Fragging,

Cent
