European Server

Clan Merlin's Server is based out of Sweden I believe and Pings very strong, even here in the US. The IP address is 212.209.164.4

European Server

We Merlins got a UT infiltration server as Damage said. You should get a ping of 60-150 from Holland.

Unfortunatly is the MERLIN clan more active in the old Unreal Infiltration world. I guess we will start playing UT inf when 2.8 comes closer so we will be ready to spank all.

I suggest that you come over and play Unreal inf with us until 2.8 is out...

Unreal not unreal tournament

Well if we play unreal tournament infiltration then it is 2.75 but as I said before. We hardly play unreal tournament infiltraion, we play Unreal infiltration.

Unreal infiltration version 2.6.
Unreal version 2.25f (2.26 has some irritating bugs)

Does anybody know if there are any Irish servers??

Where are all the European players?

Oddly enough, last night I had the opposite problem; at about 2am there were lots of servers with pings of 150-300 from the UK, but no players on them! I had to play Strike Force instead...

Don't tell me all the other Inf players in Europe go to bed before 2am ;-) ?

The only server with people on is SOB east coast.

I hardly ever see an INF server with more than 2 people on, and SOB east is allways full, and playing 14 players on small maps is no fun at all.
Tactical Ops and Strike Force have planty of servers, many European (german)..unfortunately the Mods suck compared to INF.

I still would recommend the Onecall INF server, I get a good ping from Denmark, but hardly ever see any people there.

Yeah, that's one of the servers I have played on a couple of times with two or three others, but normally it's been the SOB east server. Maybe we should pick a European server and game type and set a time for a European match? I'd kind of like to try some Assault games myself, I'm not a huge deathmatch fan; late-ish Friday or Saturday evening would be the best time.

I do have to admit that I've been playing Strike Force more than Inf lately, but that's mostly because it's so hard to find a populated Inf server...

Of course shortly after posting yesterday my home phone line started going screwy, and BT say they may not be able to fix it 'til Monday; at the moment I'm getting 24k connection speeds and 500-8000 pings, so guess I won't be doing much online play this weekend!

You might have bit of trouble from BT as regards your slow line. They will only guarantee an analog line for speeds up to 19,600 (yes thats right 19,600)

Thing is, I was getting 50k+ until late last week; something's broken in the last few days, to the extent that the phone was totally unusable (even for voice) until Sunday evening. Even now I'm only getting 26k speeds, so I've no idea whether they've supposedly fixed it or not...

Europe & UK Servers

Can't seem to find any in the UK, and I've only ever found the SOBserver to be populated (Cheers guys!) Anyone knowing different, please let me know. /infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

I noticed that NEVER is there any server even worth playing INF on. Its an amazing game but the dialup here doesn't exceed 33.6K so you can immagine the awful pings. I happen to have XDSL and a strong connection. But because of the routing the pings aren't very strong and there is massive packet loss. Since you know all... Are there any servers that are based in east/northeast america or east canada?

The box said "Windows 95 or better" -- So I installed Linux /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I am planning on running one ...

Running my own Rune-server was fun, so I plan on running an Infiltration-server as well. (not at the same time ofcourse ... )

As soon as the team releases 2.85 (and I've re-installed UT) I will try to run a (Dutch) server.

The Rune-server ran ok with a 4 player maximum.
I don't know if UT or Inf would run as good on my system if I added bots.

I searched for an European server yesterday, but I did not find any, no emtpy ones and no populated ones... I used Kali, but it seems like it only finds SOBServers for Infiltration games. I finally found some UT servers in Germany, but none of them served Infiltration.
If any match here in Europe is going to take place on an European server (important, because sometimes I have no access to non-European servers...), we would like to participate. We are 4 average up to good players (I hope at least... *g*, but we want to find out), who play regularly on LAN, but only two of us have Internet-experience. Three of us can play nearly every afternoon, but normally we would all prefer Sunday afternoons (1400-1800 German time).
At the same time, I'm interested in playing some matches as soon as possible (even if it's 2-2 or so), but only at 1800-2200, because of the telephone prizes...

What I want to add is: We only play the Infiltration way, not the UT way like the most guys I played with at SOB did... so no frag-fest with grenade launchers or rocket launchers only, please, but tactical gaming, slow, but much better...

I would have thought that when 2.85 comes out, Wireplay, NGI, BarrysWorld, Gamesinferno et al will start to run INF servers, just like what happened with SF and TO.

Let's hope so... but meanwhile I wanted to play, too, because after Christmas, my online fees are raising...

What's about Clan Merlin's UT server? Is it always down or only when I try? Or is it possible to request an up-time? I tried their homepage, but it seems to be down, too, at least most of it...
