View Full Version : SUGGESTION: Last player 90 second count down...

This may have been suggested before but how about this:

Currently, when the last player on the map avoids being killed for 90 seconds the round ends in a draw. Unfortunately, due to the size of the maps, this happens quite often. The player doesn't even have to camp for this to happen most of the time.

So what I propose is that after 90 seconds is up the following logic occurs (pseudo code):

if(PlayersLeftAlive_Team1 == PlayersLeftAlive_Team2)
// round draw (1 vs. 1 player)
// team with more players left wins (which
// should always be the team hunting the
// the last player)

// round goes to that team

This would avoid the endless round syndrome.

Just a thought,

this would come in handy on Kosovo...as well as I'd like to see something similar to the 2.75 INF where if someone entered the game, they would have to wait instead of being added immediately to a game. This would prevent people from logging out, then coming back in just to get into some action or keep the game going..

I'm sure the team is working on stuff like this, and I'm sure future patches will reveal alot of these fixes/tweaks..

Or, you could use the dreaded recon....

Sorry, had to say it. Heh, guys, there are just too many variables... I can just picture it now:

"WTF? Why did they get the win?"
"Joe left, and their other guy is AFK in their base"
"That's f*&cked up!"

Bitch bitch bitch whine whine whine....

And so the 'do over' method was invented. You may not like playing the round over, but its more fair, more of the time. Hehe, lets face it, if there are 5 red left and 1 blue, and they can't find him, even on a big map, they don't deserve to win. :)

Hmmm...... but the fact that 4 of his team members are dead is also saying something.

This point will be semi-moot when Assault works again. It's not who's alive that counts, its the objectives (and the mission timer).

Indeed. I've seen several games where one team had wiped out all but one of the opposition with minimal losses, but just couldn't find the last one to win the round; I'd say that in the circumstances they'd clearly done well enough to deserve the win.

The fact that the other 4 players are dead says that they either A) Don't have as great of skills as their opponent or B) Got in a stick situation.

This does not mean that the last remaining player is a bad player, just because the rest of his team is dead.

I myself have been in 5 on 1 situations in SMALL maps (think: Ghetto) and won...it's not that hard.

If the enemy is spread out, pick them off one by one.

If they are grouped? Hehehe, nade time, or fire a spray of bullets at Headshot level :)
