i'm trying to get mapvote up'n'running on my Sf dedicated server..
i can get it to load and work (i think). however when people try to join they are not being allowed to.
do players have to have mapvote installed on there own machines ? i've tried allowing download to no avail .

ps. there is a file that come with StrikeForce 1.6 called SF-Server_Setup.doc and it gives the impression that map vote is already supported

Are you using the new SF version 1.60 ?

They were supposed to package the MapVote files with it.

I attempted to download SF last night but it was taking forever
so I canceled. I'll try again tonight and try it out.

i downloaded it from a link on the strikeforcecenter.com webpage so i guess its the final 1.6 ,
i have looked for it in both the win32 version and the linux version and if it is there its well hidden...

the bit on the end of the server setup doc is

Etc, etc.

This is the serverís map-cycle rotation list. If you use the BDBMapVote Mutator,
You do not need to edit this section. Admins that want to run a set map list then
Add or delete maps from this list. Maximum maps in rotation for UT is 32.

Yep, It looks like the pulled MapVote out at the last minute
because of an inventory window conflict.

I am currently working on a special version of MapVote just
for StrikeForce.
I'm going to try to get them to include it with the 1.65 patch.

although it has not been included in 1.6 it does work with it providing the player has either joined a standard UT server running mapvote before playing SF and autodownloaded the addon or if they just install the umod (or zip),
to this end we are running our 24/7 dedicated SF server with your mapvote as it enhance's the game so much. (quick plug for the server)

not many players are able to join due to the SF not allowing downloads but those players who do get in always comment how good your system is :->

Cool, Glad it works.

You'll like the SFMapVote version that I'm working on now.
You can configure it to show all 4 game types -

is it possible to set more than 32 map's in mapvote 3 ??

It's possible to have over 100 maps with MapVote3. Just add them to the directory, and make sure MapVote is not using only the default map cycle list, and you will have lots of maps to choose from when MapVote pops up at the end of the game.

Bring up the Admin config window. (Read the documentation for instructions on how to do this)
and uncheck the box beside "Use Map Cycle List instead of all maps"
