Where do you live? (I assume in the US, but what part of the country)
well you could try your luck at www.gunbroker.com (kinda like Ebay for guns)
here's a couple of examples I found

here's a retail site I found some prices on.

It looks like you're looking in the $500-600 range though.

$695 in France?
That's not too bad, I've seen them for sale here in the US for that much too.
Usualy countries with strong gun control have prices at least twice what they are in the US.
What other taxes and fees would you have to pay in France?
What's 9mm ammo cost there?

No more taxes as I know.
I don't know how much it cost. I will tell you next year !
I will try to start to be a sport shooter ;)
WHat do you think Zun about the 92F? If you have too chose between a glock 17 and a 92F ?

Honestly both the G17 and the 92 are excellent firearms.
I've handled both a G17 and a Taurus PT92 (Taurus' clone of the Beretta) and I liked the feel of both, but felt the Glock was better made (again, that was against the Taurus, which most say is not as well made as the Beretta) Also the Glock "pointed" better for me (which is something that varries form person to person).
I think it would come down to taking both to the range and burning through a few mag loads of ammo to decide.
If I had to pick one right now, I'd go with the Glock, but that's just because I like Glocks :)
Actualy the PT92 felt like it would be more concealable though.
Being French I'd think you might be able to get a better price on an FN (also I know you to be somewhat patriotic ;) )
The BDA9/BDA0 (9mm and .40) might be just up your alley

Or the Mark III (also in 9mm and .40)

ThX Zund !
I was a glock fan too. But I never fired it.
Some week ago I fired a round with a beretta. And I found it very very attractive. So I'm now with a dilemma :D
About the FN, I know them for their HMG,and ss190 chambered weapon, but I don't know about their other product. Did they have the same level as beretta/glock ?
You know FN is Belgian not French ! How do you know i'm patriotic ? ;)

Not sure how the FNs stack up against Glock and Barretta, I do know that FN is generaly regarded as a quality arms manufacturer, and I've read recient reviews of both the FiveseveN and the Fourty-Nine, both of which did quite well.
http://www.fnmfg.com/products/49/fortynine.htm
I was going to post a link to the review Guns&Ammo did of the FourtyNine, but it's no longer on their site :(
Also I knew that FN was in Belgium, but I figure their may be less import tarrifs and taxes on guns built in Europe, and I also know that HKs are generaly more expensive then Glock and Barretta no matter where you go, otherwise I'd also suggest the H&K USP. (My brother just took a friend of his' USP .40 out on the range and promptly fell in love :) )
I don't think you could go wrong with any of them though.
