From what I've heard Unreal 2 is going to have some Geforce 3 only enhancements, but I would wait to upgrade unless you really need to.

The optimal card for Unreal2 will be an nVidia card. Any of the current GF2 and higher cards will do fine. Of course, GF4 is right around the corner too.
That's not to say that a Radeon based card wouldn't run it well...it's just that Epic is optimizing for nVidia technology.

So, in other words, don't go out to buy a gf3 right now, but wait for the geforce4 to be released
Buy the gf3 then, cause it'll be lowered in price, and do the same for the gf4, cause at that time, the geforce5 will be around the corner
