working with fonts

hi

i d like to change font and -size of the console and the hud.
i ve read the tutorial regarding ttf-fonts at unreal.epicgames.com.
but i dont manage to get any font working (if i import them into .u files, .utx files, dynamic or not loaded - just nothing happens!).
all ever happened was ut loosing all menue-fonts, but the console & hud were still the same old way... :)
crazy.
anybody knows about this?
