DO NOT DO THIS! or how to kill your Ued!

i uninstalled UTJB. uninstalled, not erased (in case you were gonna ask)

big huge mistake.

it uninstalls everything EXCEPT the editor related stuff.

when i try to open UnrealEd, it tells me that it can't find UTJB, and therefore is a FATAL ERROR.

is there any way i can just fiddle with one of the config files of UnrealEd, to get it back up and running, instead of wasting the 55 minutes downloading the stupid UTJB (i love the mod, just not right now) thingy.

please advise.

I don't know what that mod is but you can open up your unrealtournament.ini file and look at the [Editor.EditorEngine] section and see if you have anything listed in the Edit Packages that might be left over. Also you can rename UnrealED.ini to UnrealED.bak and see if that helps.

Happened to me to when I removed UTJB, it really suxx. I fixed it doing what willy said, so it shouldn't be too bad a problem, but its annoying when people can put together a mod, but they cannot remove it for real... I'd say that suxx! I'll never install UTJB again, just becoz of that!

There are a couple of mods which delete default UT content (textures, music...) when uninstalled...

Always check the Manifest before uninstalling and make sure the files it's pointing to are related.
