I remember a time long past when I would hit PQ nearly every chance for any and all the news on Q2 on of the things I really came to love was the MOTW because it offered an in depth review on a worthwhile mod that I may or may not have hear of. I know that Planet Unreal is NOT Planet Quake but why not try it out anyway and save someone like me who lives in a region that only has 33.6k conn. the trouble of downloading a giant mod that I won't like?

the thing is that there isn't really a mod created every week to support the motw thinger

You don't want to waste time downloading massive files??? theres tons of mod review sites on the web , most of them are linked off of planetunreal, so you've no excuse for downloading rubbish , try modsquad , or modcentral , they're about the best of the bunch

When we looked at the new design for PlanetUnreal, Mod of the Week was one of the ideas we tossed around. In the end, a MOTW feature lost due to the lack of mods available at the time. (remember, we re-launched PlanetUnreal.com when UT was released)
So, that's why we don't have a mod of the week feature. Will it always be that way? I doubt it. PQ didn't start a motw feature until Quake 2 had been out for almost a year.
There are plenty of mod related sites for UT, with Mod Central Unreal being the biggie for PlanetUnreal.
Hope that answers your question!
