Hi

Im new to this forum, and i also new to UT. I have been looking around some of the PlanetUnreal map sites and have found out that you can use whatever music you like in the maps you create. Is this true?

I'm asking because i make Techno/Bigbeat tunes and my style seems ideal for UT. So if there is anyone on this forum thats making a new map and needs some origonal musik, send me an e-mail at jonny007@x-stream.co.uk

You'ld have to get your hands on a tracker program and use that for the music.

experience - christ i have been wrighting music for 4 years. As for tracker progs i have never used one, at the moment i am using Cubase for sequencing and Gigasampler for my samples. If your interested in what i do then head over to http://x-stream.fortunecity.com/kingsrd/58/ - i have 40 odd drum loops that i have created + a couple of old songs.

If you're making music in Cubase I'm assuming it's sample and MIDI based... to use it UT it would need to be dumped into an .mp3 or other digital audio format. Unfortunately mp3 files are pretty large if they're encoded with decent quality, and no one wants to download a map package that's an extra 3 MB just for the music....
