I know hand signals have been suggest before but obviously having to do all the model/animations would be pretty time consuming. So... Does anyone remember an Electronic Arts game called Seal Team(1993)? They used a small window in the upper left hand corner with a hand animation to show the signals. The games still floating around as "abandonware" if anyone wants to check it out.

I remember that game. Way ahead of the technology. I also remember a bug where you could die randomly in the water without any sense of what it was. Still played the hell out of it.

Loved that game, even though it was somewhat unclear if you didnt have the manual. Stil hell of a game, and i think we could use that idea, changed slightly for inf.
Something like point your gun in a direction now the team leader on the right gives a hand signal.
The Hand box would now show up in the lower right.
The point man stopped at the left side now responds with another signal, hand box appears in the lower left.
And if somebody in the middle responds a animation would appear in the lower center.

It would solve the 'animation-problem' for the models, even if it wasn't entirely realistic ...
