At the moment, I am debating on weather or not to buy a AEG with a few features, but see I also wonder how long I will do it, when I will have time to do it, and if I am a ****ing dork for doing it...other then that its like $500+ for good aegs.

damn opfor, are you in the US?

what field you playing at, your getting ripped off. most the most expensive paintballs i've ever seen where only $100 bucks for a case of 2000

where i play you have a $10 fee, i think 15 with gear, free co2 or n2, and a case of 2000 for $70. that's with a semi auto, they don't have any pumps anymore.

Promagnum,
If you want an AEG.... GET ONE!

I did and I don't regret it at all. Of course I've had a few people tell me I'm an idiot for spending that much cash on a "toy" gun. But to each his own. I got my gun for $250, but I've probably spent close to $400 after upgrading and accesorizing (is that a word?) it.

Anyone who has a hobby of any sort is going to spend what other ppl call "too much money". I also ride motorcycles and most guys spend $400 on thier airbrushed motorcycle helmets and think nothing of it, but non-motorcyclists think that's too much. Like I said, to each his own.

The AEG's are a blast. And they're addicting. I'm planning on buying another one when my bank account allows (priorities, priorities). Let me know if you get one.

Here's the gun I have:

I wish I had a digital camera, I'd post a pic of my actual gun.. hmm maybe I'll use my step-dad's tomorrow...

I bought it from www.airsoftextreme.com and those guys are really cool. They sent me a flash supressor for FREE and gave me a good deal on my gun. I've since bought an extra clip and a Systema M100 spring that puts me at around 330 FPS. I just wanted it to shoot hard enough to go through aluminum cans, but not so hard that it hurt too much to get shot.

Here's the gun I want to get:

It's the SIG 550 and has semi, three round burst, and full-auto firing modes.

No, I'm in canada, and it's an outdoor arena, I phoned them, and they are using some O.K markers, but, you can only use there paint :( I'll still play, but Ill have to pump gas 2 days a week.

that explains part of it. i'm still not quite familiar with exchange rates. but, most fields i know of use tippmann markers or cheap spyders. the tippmanns seem about the most prefered because of they're reliability. and are a great marker. i've found though i prefer to have m own, i got my pump for about $70 us. i feel as though as much as i play it's cheaper, i can upgrade it and there's a huge advantage to knowing how you marker shoots, as apposed to being handed a different one each day.

most of the fields i play at are outdoor to. i hate indoor fields and don't have the desire to play on one. my favorite field is located on the fort riley military base. they have a field that uses old jeeps for bunkers and they're supposed to be getting a striped out helicopter there soon.
