Every time I hear the song "Shine" by Collective Soul, it triggers certain memories.

The year that song started playing on the radio I was 20 years old and went to Hawaii for a week. I remember distinctly driving to San Francisco and Shine was playing on the radio.

While in Hawaii I met a friend of my parents' and he made home made beer. I thought it was the coolest thing and after I got back home, I found a shop that sold all the supplies and started making beer myself.

I really liked that song, "Shine" and bought the CD and used to listen to it a lot. Sometimes while making beer.

So anyways, everytime I hear "Shine" I think of the summertime, Hawaii, making beer, friends, and all the fun things I did that summer when I was 20 years old.

Does anyone else have a song that triggers strong memories? What's the song? What does it make you remember?

I have a lot of those. Umm recently it's been Stabbing Westward's Waking Up Beside You reminding me of a certain time and a certain girl. :(

Oh yeah, Pink Floyd's Time really reminds me of my childhood years. :)

Balli,
I USED to have that problem with a certain song (American Pie) and a certain girl. But then I met my current girlfriend, and now American Pie is just another song... strange how our brains work huh?

NIN's "Downward Spiral" album gives me flashbacks of long days working on Infiltration 2.6.

Heh, I dunno about me DLL, I've had plenty of relationships since then and whenever I hear the song it's all I think of. :(

NIN's Downward Spiral reminds me of snow and 8th grade for some reason. Damn good album though. :)
