I have heard alot of discussion about weapon reload time, accuracy, fire rate, ect.... For realism how real is it for one soldier to be able to carry more than one rifle, grenades, knife, sidearm? An idea for the next release one primary weapon, and a sidearm, from a clan viewpoint, this would almost FORCE teamwork, which I am all for.

Realisticly speaking, you sure as hell can carry like 10 rifles, the question isn't how much you can carry, but how obstructed and weighed down you are from carrying all this. If the penalty of carrying slung rifles is big enough, ppl will think twice before choosing 3 rifles as backup weapon and start grabbing those extra clips instead.

How realistic is it for a soldier to be able to carry more than a rifle, a knife, grenades, and a sidearm? Very. You could take a PDW in your backpack too. Yes, you can take too much now, but the bulk system isn't even half done, so hold your horses and wait for the Inf team to finish

exactly, that is WHY there should be a limit, untill the bulk system is fully functional complete with area specific lousdout system. Untill then i'd say LIMIT the weapons.

why would I not be able to have a M9 in a holster, a AKMSU on a strap around my neck and my robard in some kind of leather holster on my back?
of course, havin more could be cumbersome..
the team could add a location system, where you choose where you put your weapons, and that would affect the time required to draw it, and the encumberance factor..

I agree that you CAN carry all the weapons in the game at the same time, but if we are wanting realism, no soldier would do that.
The average public server you join has 4-6 players all being rambo, running off by themselves. In a true combat situation, everyone has a role, sniper, supressing fire, ect... I think that limiting the number of weapons per loadout would encourage teamwork, and inturn realism.

a) How would you limit the weapons without a patch? which leads to.....
b) The next patch will have the updated bulk system anyway, which would make limiting weapons useless.

The patch would be quick to make, and a very small download......I say limit the bulk to say, 20 or 25, i have all my loadouts to 20 or less, no problem, primary weapon, 5 mags, M9, 2 mags, 2 grenades, all you really need.....

id say 32 bulk would be the limit

yeah ofcourse limiting bulk to 32 would accomplish something :rolleyes:
anyway, 2.86 still doesn't have a detailed loadout system as far as i know so I say limit the weapons you can carry untill the drawbacks and proper placement have been modeled.
