Nicks with 'Dark' in them

I have a problem. As a general rule, if someones nick is over 4 letters long (as most are) I abbreviate it. The problem is, I find myself calling DarkBLS, Darkliege and Hand of Darkness all 'dark'. I've found 'Liegey' will do for Darkliege, but Hand and BLS are kind of crappy abbreviations. What do you guys prefer?

When I used to go simply by "DarKNesS" my friends used to call me "Darky", which was fine.

Now with "HanD_of_DarKNesS" the best abbreviation would be "HoD" (as is displayed in my avatar), and pronounced "hawd".

I agree HanD_of_DarKNesS could be long to write correctly and HoD is often viewed. But for DarkBls is it only 6 letters long. :rolleyes:

Why do you want to abreviate nick name longer than 4 letters ? Are you a software, or a bot ? Is you brain a have someting like

And yes, though your 'human test' was very amusing, it's not because I'm lazy. I can type 7 letters, but it's more because I just like calling people by a nickname. Don't bother telling me that DarkBLS IS a nickname, I know. But I'm sure you get what I mean...

I have yet to run into someone with a name similar to mine, but that brings up its own problems, nobody is sure what to call me. However, when someone gets pissed at me its funny to watch them butcher my name.

As long as the 3 Darks aren't in the same room I'll just call them dark.

EndlessInfinity (just seems cool to me)
Terror (Rarely used, need to add some sort of prefix/suffix to it)

Well I call Dark Bls just plain BLS, HoD I call him Darky, Darkleige, Dark, deathren, Prepubecent little annoying fu<b></b>ck that was kicked in the head by a cow while still in fetal position and left to rot in the hay loft.

I don't think the last one could even be called an "Abbreviation" But one thing is for sure.. It makes PERFECT sense :D

Dark Balls is actually a lot easier to say than the "BLS" part.

Blue Sniper, in a game I would just call you BS, short and simple. :D

People with 2 or more words in their name get abbreviations like BS, HoD, and so forth.

Kayreetchi, "K1" is nice and easy, or Keetch, if you don't mind.

Pac, easy to abbreviate.

People with two words like Endless Infinity, you could just use one word that fits better, like "Endless" or "Infinity". Both work.

DLL will always be "DLL" to me. Or his full name ".dll" :D

Some names you just can't abbreviate or change without them seeming... weird. "Phatcat" how the crap to you abbreviate that? Cat just doesn't fit, Phat sounds like the ebonics word for "cool" or "good". Mac fanatics would hate him for being a PC. Same goes for nikoomba, but I might just call him Hitler after seeing funkstyles' sig a while back, modified from a picture of Nikoomba that was posted. Hahahaha... that was great.
