anyone give me some info on what's my problem is it would be lovely..

when I start making a map and I get a room. Then when I start adding lights and startpoints I cant see the joystick and the candle sticks are outside my room...

second someone tell me what I am doing wrong when I try to make a hallway connecting 2 rooms I follow instructions only mine has a small hole all the way around I can see into the next room threw a narrow crack all the way around the object in the room. is that sposta and I want the half-life editor its so much better :(

to the first question.... it is a matter of perspective, it is removing a wall so you can see inside the room even though it appears to be outside. if you lights are not where you want them, hold ctrl on the keyboard then move it where you want it.

i have no idea what about the second question.

P.S.- can you tell me how to set start points?

i think you did do it right but i cant set player starts so i wouldnt know (actor class browser comes up empty even when i click show actor classes)

Yes, it all sounds right. Somethings can be seen through walls. Look at the 2D veiws to get a better idea of where things are.
About the hallway. Check to see if you used a hollow cube when you built the hallway. If it is hollow, it is wrong. To change it right click on the cube builder button, and set hollow to "false". I hope that helps. :)
