Hey guys heres a post i put up on Winplanet....wondering if anyone of you dumbasses know what the problem is ::
Hello there
I have been using 98se for about 8 months now and have had no problems. I decided yesterday that i shall go mess my system by upgrading to Windows ME Once installed i found it to be a nice OS with a better look and feel than 98se.
My first problem occured when i booted up for the first time and it said "Vsmon has caused an error in KERNEL32.dll" i knew the vsmon what the vector monitoring for Zone alarm, so i removed it and rebooted. The system booted in fine ran for about 5 minutes only to find this happening :
It seems random aswell....it doesnt stop me doing anything but it wont go away...i was thinking maybe it was 1 of my sound/video/modem drvs but i changed em all!. I then did a reg clean, a virus scan and nothing would stop these random apperances of this error. I even tried re-running the upgrade incase it was a transferred corrupted file. I was thinking i t might be a start up program so i ended all the program by pressing ctrl+alt+delete and only leaving the systray and explorer. i used the pc for about 5-10 minutes and then it appeared again, the same error.
I believe its explorer related but what would cause the explorer to give the KERNEL32.DLL an error?
please help
