UnrealEd Won't Run

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Tried installing UnrealEd to my Unreal Tournament directory (c:\UnrealTournament), and found that the program would not run. Well, actually, it would run, but I couldn't do anything. I'd get this error message:

"Can't find 'ini':Engine.Engine.EditorEngine' in configuration file

History: UObject::SafeLoadError <- UObject::StaticLoadClass <-InitEngine"

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

That's a new one...
When I installed UT the editor was already installed.. even though their was no option to install it or not...
All I did was make a shortcut for it..

BTW the editor has to be in your c:\unrealtournament\system directory in order to work.. anyplace else will not do..

I don't think that it does need to be in the UT\system folder 'cause my editor works fine and its not even on the same drive.

Darthgreg...have you tried the fixes that you can download?
